European Leaders Condemn US Move as ‘Intimidation’
Officials from Europe such as the French president accused Washington of “coercion and intimidation”, following the travel bans were placed on individuals that were central to campaigns to enact laws regulating American tech companies.
“For too long, ideologues in Europe have led coordinated campaigns to coerce American platforms to suppress US perspectives they oppose,” stated the US secretary of state in a social media post. “This government will not stand for such actions of censorship beyond its borders.”
